Our Big Break!
Riot Crew was on the radio on Thursday (1/26/06) night,
and on television the following day. The radio broadcast featured the voices of
our own Mr. Newell, Jon Meade, Nick DeHaas, Jim Henningson, and Emma Dalton. The
following television broadcast featured Nick and Jon once again. The programs were
about the shortage of math and science teachers in our state and what our schools
are doing in math and science.

We received an email from another FIRST team in Maine congratulating
us:
Nick & Jon - great job on MaineWatch. After leaving
my robotics team's
mechanical work session I called my wife; she encouraged me to hurry
home to catch MaineWatch at 8:30. She had heard the radio broadcast on
Thursday. You two did a great service in getting the word out about
FIRST and what's going on in Maine schools.
